Future Food & Fuel Summit

This month I attended the Future Food & Fuel Summit. This brought together a range of people from both food and energy sectors who are working across Japanese and Singaporean markets. It is part of a broader programme of activities organised to commemorate 60 years of diplomatic and economic relations between the two countries.

Particularly relevant for my project were some very interesting contributions from people working at cultured meat companies. Both companies focused on providing one piece of the puzzle, in sociotechnical terms, rather than fully integrated food production. From the interviews I have conducted so far, it seems that this is the way the sector is moving.
